Managing multiple residences is challenging. Your caretaker/estate manager must have a broad base of experience and contacts he can draw upon to maintain and prepare your home for you, your family and/or your guests. In addition to having integrity, he must also know the community, the limitations, and the available resources. Perhaps most important are the relationships your caretaker/estate manager must have with those resources to get the job done.
My work for decades has been about building trust with clients. I have done this as a financial consultant with a major Wall Street firm, as an event producer and project manager, and as an account specialist for many corporate clients. I have opened and managed two upscale Pacific Northwest inns, one with an elegant restaurant. Over the past fifteen years I have worked in the local nonprofit community as a volunteer, Board member, Board Chair and Co-Chair. I am also very handy around our house and five-acre property... just ask my wife Karen.
